* Please note; flights departing on 16 September for London Heathrow, which are scheduled to arrive on 17 September, will arrive into Terminal 5.

It is in the interests of our customers that we decided to make this move after the traditionally busy British summer period.

When combined with the long haul flights that moved on 5 June, from 17 Sepmber 2008 the majority of our intercontinental flights will be operating out of London Heathrow Terminal 5.

The final move of long haul intercontinental flights out of London Heathrow Terminal 4 and into Terminal 5 will take place on the 22 October 2008. More details on this can be found on www.ba.com/t5

If you have customers who are affected by the services moving on 17 September, you will be notified through your GDS that this is the case so that you can provide your customers with details of their new travel itinerary.

Process for managing customers who have been affected by longer connection times. As some of our long laul operation will be remaining in Terminal 4 beyond 7 July, this may affect additional customers who will now have insufficient time to make their onward connection.

We have put in place a re-booking policy to help you make the necessary hcanges to those customers' bookings, which we have notified you are affected by the longer flight connection time between Terminals 4 and 5. The policy applies ONLY to bookings between 8 July and 26 October 2008.

Customers should be rebooked on the first available flight in the same booking class, or if this is not available, the lowest available booking class in the same cabin.

  • The ticket will need to be reissued/revalidated with the following comment in the PNR and on the ticket; "connecting segment rebooked due to T5 move". This will ensure no debit memos are improperly issued.
  • We will not charge a service fee for rebooking direct or travel agency bookings.
  • Agents can rebook their customers in teh same way or refer them to British Airways
  • British Airways will not be responsible for any other costs

Please note that in cases where customers are referred directly to British airways for rebooking assistance, we will assume ownership of the booking.

I would like to thank you for your continued support during this time, and I appreciate the additional work these changes may cause for you and your teams.
